about design one

I’m Barb Swartz, the owner and designer behind Design One.

I have been happily freelance designing for over 20 years in the Columbus, Ohio area. Prior to freelancing, I held a few great “real” jobs, from being the first in-house designer at Riverside Methodist Hospitals (now OhioHealth) to a 3-year stint as an Art Director on the national Wendy’s restaurant account. I design brochures, direct mail, annual reports, logos, advertisements, annual reports, catalogs, displays, posters, websites, newsletters and publications. My clients come from a wide array of industries including healthcare, restaurant, advertising agencies, educational institutions, nonprofit organizations and small businesses.

I love what I do, and my greatest satisfaction comes from a happy client and a well-designed piece.
